2019 was a very busy year for Peninsular Artists with 2 Exhibitions, many workshops and an exciting lecture series. Members were able to see considerable improvements in their work by the end of 2019 and many were experimenting with new directions as a result of the collective workshops and exhibitions.
During "lockdown" some members found it a useful distraction to progress their artwork, and as a result now have a considerable body of new work. Others felt overwhelmed and had difficulty in finding the artistic spirit necessary to put brush to canvas.
This has been a worrying time for all, and continues to be challenging for those who participate in group activities and want to organise public events.
Despite this, Peninsular Artists are currently planning a 2020 programme of Exhibitions, Workshops and other events and remain committed to :
"providing exposure for local artists, creating a collaborative community of artists and to providing a platform for artistic expression."..
